Sherian Brown

Vice Chair & Editor

I am a copyeditor and proofreader with a medical background and a deep appreciation of creative arts. As a cardiovascular perfusionist for nearly twenty years, my focus is on the integration of technology and medicine in cardiac surgery, but I naturally gravitated to medical policy and procedure revision as part of my nonclinical duties. Procedure revision buoyed my work in nonfiction and then eventually led to my love of editing fiction. My practice is based on a unique model of compassionate care that focuses on individualized attention, both in healthcare and in my freelance editorial services. I enjoy polishing written voices and making a positive impact on those I serve.

Mrs. Veronica Scott

Outreach Coordinator & Marketing Executive

I don’t sell sponsorships - I build strategic partnerships that create measurable value for both brands and the military community. After 20 years of Navy service, I transitioned into a strategic marketing and partnerships role with CNIC Headquarters, where I continue to serve by enhancing programs that support 4.5M+ Sailors and their families worldwide. I specialize in connecting mission-aligned brands with high-impact opportunities that drive visibility, engagement, and long-term brand loyalty within the military community.

Beyond my professional work, I’m the author of “Veronica the Navy Sailor: Making Waves of Change,” a children’s book designed to inspire the next generation to dream big and lead with purpose. Proceeds support JROTC scholarships (not DoD endorsed). I’m also deeply committed to faith and community, serving on my church’s media team as a photographer, supporting the guest experience team, and leading a women’s Bible study group. Whether in uniform, in the workplace, or in my community, I’m passionate about building connections, uplifting others, and creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and inspired.
